30"x 34"
Dizzy Gillespie, together with Charlie Parker, were major figures in the development of bebop and modern jazz. Dizzy taught and influenced many other musicians, including trumpeters Miles Davis, Fats Navarro, Clifford Brown, Arturo Sandoval and Lee Morgan. In addition to pioneering bebop, Dizzy was also instrumental in the development of Afro-Cuban Jazz. Dizzy's beret, bent horn and pouched cheeks, along with his light-hearted personality were key to popularizing bebop jazz.
